Kacang Buncis Tempe Goreng (Beans Tempe Stir Fried)

The Malay style to a side dish (Kangkung Belacan). Kacang Buncis/French Beans, soy made tempe and salted fish again ((Salted Fish Mango Sambal). God! Me and salted fish. Says it all. The typical Malaysian who love saltiness. The cooking technic to Kacang Buncis Tempe Goreng? Like any other veggie side dish (Curried Tamarind Ladies Fingers). Shall we cook? Of course, we should.

Chili's (Empire Subang)

Chilli's in Empire Subang. I don't think, I doubt you will have a hard time spotting which is Chilli's. On the ground floor itself and once you have entered Empire Subang and you walk just a distance towards the right hand side, Chilli's (Serai Empire and Lameeya) Bold prominent signboard and spacious, classy dining area. Why did I end in Chilli's? Lunch with a close friend and she suggesting  Chilli's. Why not. After all. My philosophy to food spotting? You never try, you never know. Instead of getting carried away by what others share, write and speak? Into Chilli's just as they were getting ready to welcome customers, we sat and menu popped up at once. Oh-My! Aplenty choices until we didn't know where to start. Eventually, we have to decide right? Can't be staring at the menu forever? What did we order? Pina Chilada, Triple-Dipper, Crispy Honey Chipotle Chicken, Loaded Potato and Ice Lemon Tea (free refills).

Salted Fish & Mango Sambal (Gravy)

A weird combination? Of course not. I made Salted Fish & Mango Sambal, and I just so loved the role play of saltiness, sourness and spiciness in one. Anyway, have you tried Salted Fish (Pada Salt Fish Pickle & Salt Fish Pickle) & Mango Sambal before? If you have not, you shouldn't comment. Unless and until you make and taste, your feedback is valid. Otherwise?

Tamarind Prawn Curry

Tamarind Prawn Curry. The Indian style to a spicy, tangy and aromatic prawn curry. In fact, for a matter of fact, cleaning prawns is not my favorite thing in my kitchen (Devilled Prawns), but I guess when you have decided to cook a prawn dish, you gotto do it? Not a regularly though. Prawns by far for us only comes into our food picture, let's say every one month once most probably (Sambal Udang). Tamarind Prawn Curry (Assam Curry Fish, Penang Assam Laksa & Fried Kembung Assam Sauce).  Follow this recipe of mine and assured, you are on the right prawn track.

Jeera Rice/Cumin Rice

Jeera Rice. Cumin Rice. Meaning? Rice cooked with jeera, aka cumin seeds. Simply as that. More importantly, cooked in the rice cooker.  Jeera Rice. My-my. The scent of jeera and that tiny bit of spiciness from chillies in fluffy rice is such a rice pleasure.

Chilli Padi Restaurant (Kuchai Lama, Klang Road)

Despite Kuchai Lama having a lot of good makan places, I ventured into this restaurant chain bravely. I figured if it was awful then I know what to avoid but if it was great then I would have gained in more ways than one. Being extremely adventurous that day I ordered its Pan-Fried Salmon which claimed to be from Norway. This place looked to serve everything from Malaysian to Thai to Western. Anyway the dish was rather disappointing and didn't live up to its description.
