Turkey is one of the world’s top travel destinations, attracting visitors year-round. The country experiences all four seasons, with spring and autumn often recommended as the best times to visit because of the pleasant weather (WHAT TO DO IN VERONA, ITALY). Even winter in Turkey can be regarded as the best, depending on which part of Turkey you are in.

Covering the entire country is nearly impossible unless you have plenty of time and resources. For most travelers, it’s about selecting the best cities to visit and zeroing in on the top sights. Istanbul is undoubtedly at the top of that list.

Pork belly and salted fish. Imagine these two ingredients coming together in one Chinese dish. That’s Pork Belly (PORK CHOPS CHINESE STYLE) with Salted Fish, a popular and much-loved recipe. You’ll often find it at Chinese mix rice stalls, and in restaurants, it’s served bubbling hot in a claypot as Claypot Pork Belly with Salted Fish.

The Komunal Bukit Rimau: A MIxed Review

I can't provide a detailed history or pinpoint when The Komunal Bukit Rimau first made its mark among the eateries in Bukit Rimau and Kota Kemuning, given the subtle boundary between these two areas (CHAMELEON KOTA KEMUNING & BUNS & NOODLES BUKIT RIMAU). My discovery was serendipitous, as The Komunal Bukit Rimau surfaced during an online search among a plethora of dining options. Positioned at a corner lot in a commercial building with residential condos above, the four of us arrived around 9:30 a.m.

The establishment exudes a cozy atmosphere, enhanced by sunlight streaming through the surrounding glass walls, creating a comfortable and inviting space. After perusing a menu that boasts an impressive variety, we made our selections. Notably, desserts require a visit to the counter to choose from an enticing display.

In Ms. Nava’s traditional version, a touch of green mango adds a unique twist. As a Malaysian Indian, this familiar ingredient introduces a natural tang that beautifully complements the thick, spicy curry, resulting in a dish with tender fish pieces immersed in a flavorful sauce. Although I had the pleasure of tasting some of Sri Lanka’s finest fish curries during my visit (KATARAGAMA SACRED TRIALS), I did not encounter one with mango. Kuih Buah Melaka/Ondeh-Ondeh - Malaysian Dessert Recipe

Ondeh-Ondeh, also known as Kuih Buah Melaka, is one of Malaysia’s most cherished traditional desserts or kuih-muih. These bite-sized glutinous rice balls, filled with rich palm sugar (Gula Melaka) and coated in freshly grated coconut, are a staple in our kuih repertoire and often enjoyed during tea time or festive seasons.

Made from glutinous rice flour, the dough is infused with pandan (screwpine leaf) juice for its signature green hue and aromatic flavour. Once filled with palm sugar, the dough is rolled into balls and gently boiled until they float, signalling they’re ready. As soon as they’re done, they’re immediately rolled over grated coconut to ensure the coating sticks perfectly.
