Homemade Lemonade

Lemonade in tall glass, made with lemon juice, lemon slices, honey, basil seeds, mint leaves and mineral water.
Imagine sipping a homemade lemonade that is lightly sweet, refreshing, nourishing, and instantly wakes up the taste buds. This unique drink works as a summer refreshment, for hot days, casual gatherings, or as a mocktail party drink. It combines classic lemon juice with common Southeast Asian ingredients (COCONUT MILK DESSERT RECIPE).

The ingredients for this homemade drink are also available in other parts of the world, as Asian grocers are now common. For home gardeners, lemons and mint leaves are grown fresh at home, while basil seeds come from simply removing the seeds from basil leaves and drying them.

Naturally sweetened with honey, this lemonade is a healthy alternative to traditional sugary lemon drinks, making it a guilt-free beverage. It can be served chilled with ice or at room temperature. Presented in a tall glass or cocktail holder, it is a simple, classy, and visually appealing wellness drink.

Homemade lemonade also is a punch bowl drink, letting everyone help themselves to a fresh, soothing beverage.

Variations of Lemonade Recipes

Serve chilled from the fridge, with ice, or at room temperature.

Mint leaves can be substituted with other herbs, such as basil, thyme, or rosemary.

Honey can be replaced with stevia leaves to reduce sugar and add natural aroma.

Use calamansi lime when lemons are not available (GROWING CALAMANSI LIME).

Basil seeds can be omitted, though they add a subtle crunch.

Ingredients can be adjusted to taste.
