Nyonya Okra Sambal

Nyonya me (Vegetarian Nyonya Laksa). Nyonya you (Stir Fried Jicama). Right. Me the home chef who can share my expertise on Nyonya cuisine (Mee Siam Kuah Vegetarian). Willingly of course. As an add-value for my professional as a life coach. Why can't I not or why  shouldn't I by the way? My Nyonya recipes (Ayam Masak Keluak) speaking for themselves and me having belted quite a good number of years to Nyonya cuisine cooking in my kitchen (Nyonya Acar Fish). Obviously, there are no short. No short? That's right. No short of Nyonya recipes (Nyonya Hot and Sour Fish Noodles) in this precious space of mine which, again said, is like a bonus for my clients and anyone for the matter.

Go ahead beautiful people. Get down to searching for the recipes for not doubting my Nyonya cooking skills home chef mastery (Ayam Pongteh). Nyonya food! Spices and our local herbs things nice. And once you have digested the fact to which ingredients are the relevancy to which dishes (Nyonya Steamed Fish), trust me, you can most probably even become better than me in cooking various types of Nyonya dishes (Nyonya Assam Fish Curry & Nyonya Fish Sambal). Still, right now. I know. You are eagerly awaiting for another Nyonya recipe right from Nava K right? Right on! Nyonya Okra Sambal. Walla! Simmered or boiled till tender okra, atop by dried shrimp sambal. What else should I say? Please. Do not deny yourself to this Nyonya Okra Sambal I seriously believe will not never let you down. Take care guys. Catch up with all of you sooner or later.

Ingredients
I packet okra/bendi - steam or simmer till tender. Followed by, if you wanna cut okra into bite sizes.
Place in a plate/serving tray.

For dried shrimp/prawn sambal
2  tbsp dried chilli paste (or per taste)
2 tbsp dried shrimps - soak and rinse
1 big red onion - chopped
1/2 tsp belacan/shrimp powder
Lime juice - as needed
Palm sugar/Gula Melaka - as needed
2 1/2 tbsp oil
Salt

Method
Heat oil.
Add onion. Saute.
Add dried shrimps/prawns.
Fry lightly.
Add chilli paste and belacan/shrimp powder.
Also, add sugar.
Pour add lime juice and a tiny bit of water for more gravy if you want to.
Add salt.
Stir.
Now, tip dried shrimp sambal atop okra.
