La Mer - The Moisturizing Soft Cream

Been pending for some time. I have actually been toying, thinking and debating whether I should start using La Mer The Moisturising Soft Cream on my 53 year old, combination sensitive skin or allow it occupy a permanently space on my beauty dressing table. I did though initially, believe me, in all atop super "Yippie-Yeh" excitement, apply La Mer The Moisturising Soft Cream, perhaps for 4 to 5 times. Subsequently, for some reason or rather or for reasons I myself am unsure, I ditched it aside completely. However, logically, we all are aware that there’s no point hoarding such an exclusive, really expensive and breaking our bank account moisturizer. Unbelievably expensive, mind you, at least for me. Remember I told you previously (La Mer Eye Balm & La Mer SPF 50)? Of course, for the rich and famous or those hard core beauties, paying almost RM800.00 for this deemed as the magical formula cream is no sweat dripping. But for the ordinary average women like us, the reality is that expensive does not mean better. Instead it should definitely be which cream will do justice for keeping our skin supple, and as I have been constantly reminding you, remember, above all, its about spending according to our budget. (Biotique Bio Morning Face Lotion).

Then again, due to the current disillusioned beauty social media world, if no all, some of us tend to wholesomely believe beauty bloggers who no matter what, will praise expensive and handed in a golden platter sponsored products even without trying. In other words, they actually won’t mind lying as well for the sake of being in the good books of high end brands. Sadly indeed! Such is, truly the scenario in the social media world. Sugar coating or being beauty apps dependent is the beauty router instead of honesty is the best policy. But you can in all fairness, trust Nava K because she does not believe in lying. Never. She will never lie. Maybe that’s why she is unpopular. Dang! Now, coming back to La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Cream, I soon realize that it can’t be sitting on my beauty dressing table forever. Either I start experimenting, or I give away or for those selfish beauties, maybe I am one of them, better to finish up by applying on the body. Still, don’t you think it's such a beauty lost if I don’t test trial it? Obviously. Otherwise how can I advise you whether you must beg, borrow, steal or over-run your credit card because you want to accepted amongst the socialite elite women group as someone who only use La Mer The Moisturising Soft Cream or the whole set of La Mer products? Fair deal (L'Occitane UV Shield SPF 50). I reckon so.
Lemme now unravel if La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Cream, do or die, is a must. I started by using it twice a day, Not a good idea. It almost messed up my skin by triggering my oil glands. Got me worrying until I had to put on my thinking cap again. So, I decided to keep La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Cream as my night cream. Seemingly, thank god, a better option. It didn’t break me up. Additionally, this light weight, easily and quickly absorbing cream did nourish and lock in hydration. Should I be happy? Sure. Why not?
However, La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Cream didn’t make a major impact as the absolute for heightening my skin to another beauty level. Basically, it’s just a moisturizer. It did nothing more or less for the last two months. In fact, if I would have done a blind testing without knowing its La Mer, I  may have concluded that its one of those moisturizers from the drug stores (Garnier Night Restore Cream & Olay Regenerist Moisturiser SPF 30). Indeed. Having said that, what do think of its classy and stylish packaging? Should we award a distinction or credit? Cream filled in a hardy solid round container, I really don't care for the spatula. I am always comfortable with my clean hands.
Is La Mer The Moisturising Soft Cream worth the investment? Sorry, not for me. La Mer The Moisturising Soft Cream may be touted as super-duper or La Mer brand by itself most probably is a superior hype, sincerely, its definitely not a checkmate for me. Not even a Star War The Last Jedi checkmate. Go watch the movie. I think you will be happier.
Trend alongside "nava-k", possibly on every other social media please. Your support will rocket my happiness. Thank you everyone.

  1. This brand rocks love their moisturizer and loose powder

  2. He he, so true! There was a time, when I had used creams worth rupees 30 -50 and they worked great. Thanks to my good inherited genes, had flawless skin with no acne probs! But now even expensive products sometimes do not work for my skin let alone cheap products :( All credit goes to hormonal imbalance! I make sure to not disrespect any brand or their products just because it didn't work for me at that time, because there are several factors which I have to consider.I simply cannot blame a product or brand for that, right? But thank you so much for sharing this review, it'll save a lot of money from wasting :D I haven't heard of it though! And yes, you are right, honestly is the best policy, no matter what, no one should lie :)

  3. Just a regular moisturizer I think

  4. This sounds amazing. But I still can't get myself to splurge on La Mer products.
