Moo Kata Steamboat & BBQ House (Kuchai Lama Food Court) Kuala Lumpur

They say "opposites attracts". Well, to a certain extent, I have to agree. In my case, its about food, - what my other half prefers and what I like. I love the utmost satisfaction of a steamboat meal whereas he can't be bothered with the required simple cooking and he seem never satisfied after eating. So, he was conveniently dropped off my list and I went with a friend to Moo Kata at their invitation. Albeit going to the wrong food court nearby the market, it wasn't all that troublesome to turn back to the main road, further up a couple of minutes and the left turn before Suzuki Showroom where bbq house is (on the right).

We parked within the compound of the food court and then walked into the spacious casual style dining area. After being greeted by the warm-hospitable staff especially Mr Chua, the next sight to greet us was the self service food galore - all you can eat at RM38.00 (either steamboat, grill or hot plate), offering such a wide selection including the fried mee hoon, fried rice, fried chicken and two other dishes (stewed chicken feet and tea eggs ) of the day, condiments, dipping sauces, drinks, fruits, ice cream and worth mentioning is the durian cake.

I took what I wanted and came back to the table. Into the soup, I added a good scoop of the tom yam home made paste and some of the uncooked ingredients. Then a few ingredients on the grill and hot plate. The seafood dips - Moo Kata dip and teriyaki dip were on standby with the drinks before we sampled. We ate and perspired like crazy as well, for the right reason of a loveable meal.

My take is definitely the Thai style steamboat for the aromatic and tangy broth, simply so good that left me wanting more. Though only so much I could eat. I still had a little space in my tummy for a scoop of yam ice cream as the final call.
As you can see from the attached pictures, there's plenty to choose - everything fresh for a pleasurable filling meal from 5.30pm to 1.00am daily.
