Too much to handle endless work, forcing me to work almost 24 hours, including working at home, speak about the unspeakable working madness during weekends by participating in nonsense activities and career counselling. Nevermind maybe, I coped, but what can be worst except reporting to a super bitchy pariah degree bitch. Ugly bitch. Bitchiness of course is the star quality of an insecure woman, this unpolished rude bitch played favoritism cards massively, moreover, she love gossiping and staff who carry tales to her. Honestly, I can't help but wonder how on earth the top level management can't see her true colors. Then again, bitches are always sly good in disguising themselves. Akin Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, primp polish Jekyll side for top management and the evil Mr. Hyde is for those like me who are bitches threat.
Nonetheless, even if its not her, the management by itself sucks pathetically. Mind you, supposedly world class American company, but practicing low class grade in Malaysia. Smart people. They know that Malaysian bosses are balls suckers and carriers, whereas in US, balls are too heavy for carrying. Maybe, I'm guessing, some don't even have balls. Duh!. These high ranked level, touted as brilliant academicians are great in taking the stage for preaching work life balance and sweat shops, but they do suck drip almost every drop of sweat from staff like me. Madness. Frankly speaking, if I didn't leave, I would have most probably died at my job. Still, I couldn't immediately leave because I had to serve notice. It was during this time, precisely more towards the last few days, I was treated to lunch by my three colleagues. Thank you. Lunch actually started off without bearing. Meaning, we really didn't plan where it should be. But because there is no short of from our base in SS15, we decided to walk and then like, lets see hows the going. Once we arrived in front of Vanilla - The Mille Crepe Cafe, we mutually agreed. This is it.
Pretty Ms Pinky and flowery ambiance. Aplenty stuffs on the walls and also dangling here and there, just wondering how Vanilla - The Mille Crepe Cafe is maintained or well kept. As if you have walked into a spic and span, glossy and shiny, bright and alert mini English cottage paradise.
Since downstairs dining area was already filled up, by the way, there's only like 6 to 7 tables, we went upstairs, which potentially is not as showy as downstairs, No doubt tables were available, but considering that we may encounter service hiccups, we returned to downstairs again. What a perfect timing. Tadaa! An empty table right at the far end. Quickly putting our ass before it will be taken up, menu arrived soonest. We too didn't "dilly-dally". Quite straightforward actually, ample choices but not a spilling over menu, we ordered our main dishes and drinks.
Drinks came cruising within the next few minutes. Passion Mango (2x) and Iced Lemon Tea (2x) did power up us. A chilled burst of sweet delight, these drinks were sincerely appreciated for our dry throat and tongue, especially when we have walked quite a far bit in the blistering hot weather.
As sat back and sipped into our drinks, main dishes popped up within the next 10 minutes. Stone Grilled Lamb Chops teamed alongside mash potato and fresh salad indeed immediately triggered my hunger throne. Easily chewable, well seasoned lamb, creamy buttery mash and elevated aromatically crunchy salad. Absolutely a hearty meal, though I didn't fancy the black pepper sauce lathered over the chops, Stone Grilled Lamb Chops was a winner. I sincerely loved it. Nothing to dispute about.
Seafood Spaghetti, cooked in lotsa seafood, mussels, prawns and squids, and various types of mushrooms, according to the other colleague, did pack a major mouthful punch. He tucked in and he looked up at us to affirm that he didn't regret ordering Seafood Spaghetti.
Stone Grilled Chicken Chop, grilled chicken chop smothered with homemade creamy-thick mushroom sauce, paired alongside the same fresh salad as for the chops and I think a different type of mashed potato, or maybe its just the how its presented, was equally delicious.
Needless to say, none of us could actually find fault with the dishes we tucked into, except maybe, I was the only one who was not super excited, as I have said, about the black pepper sauce for my chops. Even so, what an utterly satisfying meal. All of us agreed that Vanilla - The Mille Crepe Cafe totally lived up to our expectations. As full as we were, I was the hero, I wouldn't stop needling for a round of desserts. Though colleagues tried to brush it aside, maybe for my sake, they gave in.
In short, I wouldn't mind recommending Vanilla - The Mille Crepe Cafe. You should give a go, I bet you won't regret. Take it from Nava K.
