Tagging alongside my other half-half when he on a working mission is rather a complicated matter. In fact, not something that comes by as I wish for. He personally does not encourage, neither do I push my luck until we end up arguing. Work for him and wife tagging along? I don't know how it is for other people, but for my other half-half? Not something. However, like a ring tone from heaven given and also he himself, I don't know for whatever reason it was, he decided I should to Penang. Penang. Oh god, I think maybe 25 years ago? In fact, I can't even recall what I did in Penang that time and when this weekend trip was thrown at my feet? Of course. Why on earth would I say no? Fast and quick packing and we leaving next morning and once we arrived in Penang, we somehow opting for our 2 nights in Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa.
What a pride. Utterly, a pride. Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa. As soon as we walked in, the lobby across the beach by itself and sincerely appreciated customer service till we entered our room. Wow! Akin happy vibes. Really, the happiest vibes.
Room facing the sea and beautifully set-up. Plus, a fruit basket awaiting us and bathroom equally spic and span for putting the broadest smile on my face.
Up next? Other half-half left for his appointment and myself, standing at the balcony and allowing my mind to wonder towards the sea water for as long as I wanted.
And then? Back to the lobby and walking towards the beach. I just stood around.
But once I had a tiny bit of issue from the Indian beach boys who literally wouldn't leave me alone. They sort of insisting and offering beach activities like boat ride or what not. I in return, quietly left. I was worried if this matter will blow up. Thus, I made a U-turn for returning back to my room.
Feeling rather restless, I called for spa service. Sadly though, spa was full for the day. So? I still wanted a spa treatment and treatment confirmed for the following day. Not enough, I came down again and at the swimming pool area, I decided to give my feet some pampering. Foot reflexology. Not only an appreciated my feet being massaged, I also had a great time chatting with the elderly masseur. What a conversation. He working for passing time and me sharing my share of why and how I ended up in Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa
Done, back to my room and seemingly like a perfect timing for me to watch sun going on. A big ball of orange ball slowly facing and settling behind the dark clouds.
Thereafter, I showered and walked to the main road for dinner. At this juncture, my phone rang. My other half-half and he joining me for dinner next.
look so relaxing
ReplyDeleteWhile I do love adventurous travels, it is a nice break just to do some plain old relaxing. Your hotel does look like the perfect place for that. Nice atmosphere! Also, a few spa treatment will make you feel brand new. Enjoy my friend!
