Hard to miss. I bet you won't miss seeing Restaurant Makbul Nasi Kandar if you are in Taipan or even if you are passing by the main road. Restaurant Makbul Nasi Kandar, as far as I know is already like a permanent landmark in Taipan. Our reason for dining in Restaurant Makbul? In fact, our first time. Just like that after running some errands and amongst the rest of the eateries, Restaurant Makbul was randomly selected and seemingly like the right hour. Dishes for a rice meal making way to the food counter. Piping hot and fresh-fresh just cooked dishes. Wow! Right on. In the queue for our choice of dishes over the plate of rice before being seated, and also calling for Teh Tarik and Sky Juice.
Fresh bawal/black in curry, and simply cooked cabbage, eaten with rice? My other half-half was elated. He had to praise. He praised over and over again as he tucked in.
I on the other hand, call it my "greedy hunger" eyes syndrome. My plate almost spilling. Beriyani Rice, Lamb Intentine Curry, Coconut Long Beans and Cabbage Stir Fried, Cabbage Stir Fried, Ikan Bilis/Anchovy Sambal and quite generous scoops of a few types of curries.
Awesome. Soft tender intestine, ikan bilis sambal packing a punch, delightful role play of curries and on the whole, a meal I sincerely appreciated. Will there be another dining experience in Restaurant Makbul Nasi Kandar? Maybe (RM21.60). Attentive service and ambiance overall looking clean and food of course, like i have told you, not only conquered our happy, but also putting a broad smile.
