For the number of times I've been in Empire Subang (Serai & Chilli's), sometimes I really can't decide where to meal. Today especially, coming over before 11am, many of the eateries were not ready to usher in customers. Between the few that has just opened their doors, La Bodega I thought will be a good change since I've never tried before and seldom is the call for a Western lunch. I sat at the outside dining area and as much as I wanted to start my day with an early lunch, I was disappointed because lunch meals I was told will only come on board after 12pm.
Any way, since I was already here and not wanting to walk to another eatery, I settled for the American Breakfast set and Orange Juice.
Consisting of scrambled eggs, smoked turkey ham, sauteed mushrooms, a slice of rye toast and butter, breakfast set can't be faulted but for my strong Malaysian palate, mmm!! seriously, I should have gone to any of the nearby coffee shops or even road side stalls for nasi lemak, curry mee or roti canai with spicy sambal. Nevertheless, I ate while sipping the orange juice. Orange juice tasted ordinary, and the coffee I later had, also average in taste (total bill - RM31.30)
Perhaps, I am really sure right now, maybe, I should return to La Bodega another day for lunch perhaps I will return again for lunch or with some friends for a yam seng/boozy session.
SEDAP!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great breakfast, but you're right about making it at home for a fraction of the cost. How odd that the lunch menu was not available till 11:30.
ReplyDeleteLooks really good but RM31.30?? hahaha! Got refill? LOL!! :D
ReplyDeletethanks for all the comments everyone, honestly like I mentioned that I could have had the same breakfast at home for so much cheaper.
ReplyDeleteHi, the pics of the food and the prices are very tempting. Gonna go when it reopens at empire. Pls do drop by for my story for Halloween.
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy not to have a lunch menu available at 11:30!
