The Bee (Jaya One, Petaling Jaya)

One of the latest addition in Jaya One (Hanazen) has gotten rave reviews for its food and service. Naturally, this means I must go check it out. To sample more of what they have to offer, I rounded up a few colleagues and headed there for lunch one day. The place was rather packed but we managed to get a table.

The Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich (RM6.50) is a decent dish to have if you are looking for something small and healthy. Someone commented that it was a little dry as the sauce wasn't enough to coat the insides of the bread.
I guess this is not their highly recommended dish.I think if you are a little bit more hungry, go for the Tori Katsu Burger (RM15.50) instead. It comes with a generous serving of fries. As you can see, the burger ain't too big and manageable to kind of hold it down for a satisfying bite. My colleague who had this gave it a thumbs up.
As for me, I had the Prawn Pomodoro (RM19.50). The spaghetti was a little overcooked but taste-wise, it was great. Instead of just pure tomato puree which is just sour, it had savoury flavours that I liked. The prawns were mostly fresh and the portion is generous.
Lastly, the Chilli Dog (RM14.50) was also good. But my colleague who had it prefer it to be spicier. For her, it was not hot and cheesy enough. It also came with a sizable portion of fries.
We all ordered the in-house Lemonade (RM5.50) since it came free during lunch. The drink was extremely sour as they didn't add much sugar at all.
If you want to tone down the lemonade, it is best to ask for some sugar syrup, which we all did. I don't mind revisiting the place for its brunch menu and The Last Polka ice-cream selections.
