Thai Thai Restaurant ( Sunway Pyramid)

My first time. Ever first time to dining in Thai Thai Restaurant which is hard to be missed. Trust me, you won't miss seeing Thai Thai Restaurant whether from the inside or outside of Sunway Pyramid. Into Thai Thai Restaurant, accompanied by my three lunch companions. Of course, as usual, as in every other restaurant, you need to decide what to order. Obviously? Which were the dishes we called for, from the quite a wide array from the menu in this beautifully set up Thai restaurant?

I actually became the food hero in ordering. Tom Yam Seafood, Stir Fried Tofu, Mango Salad and Thai Fish Sambal. Dishes arrived and the first to pop up was stir-fried tofu. Tofu pieces in a soy based gravy, and cooked alongside chillies, spring onion and basil leaves. Pass. The simplicity to a tofu dish. Nothing overwhelming, just subtle mild hints of tastes.
Thereafter, we tucked the Kerabu Mangga/Mango, paired with a thick crispy fritter which is suppose to be crushed and added into the bowl of thinly sliced mango, chillies, onion, dried shrimps and garnished by coriander leaves and in a sweet sauce. What should I possibly say? Didn't even make us happy. Something was not right. Maybe the sauce itself? Such a plain boring dish without any profound Thai flavors.
What about Tom Yam Seafood? Walla! The soupy joy of Thai Thai Restaurant. Sour, spicy, and aromatic broth, and a combination of seafood. We loved it to every slurp and bite.

Thai Fish Sambal? I really don't know what happened to the picture I snapped. Went missing from my camera. Nevermind. I can still speak about Thai Fish Sambal. Not too bad actually. Fresh fried fish in a spicy delightful chilli based sauce/sambal. And these dishes eaten with rice and washed down by water melon juice and fresh coconut.

Conclusively? Thai Thai Restaurant? Didn't let us down (RM107.25 - inclusive of 4 drinks). I wouldn't mind another meal in Thai Thai.

  2. I love kerabu mango. Maybe they put in a bwl instead of plate, hence you cant taste much of the sauce?

  4. Thank you for all the comments everyone.
Expensive it was but worth paying except for the kerabu. It was packed with many customers even after the normal lunch time.
