Another wonton cooking food story like the previous (Fried Shrimp Wantons & Chinese Chicken Meatball Soup). This time, chicken parceled wantons in soup. Go ahead ladies and gentlemen. Believe in me and my recipes. Grab this recipe of mine and all will be absolutely delightful and good.
Ingredients
For broth/stock
200g chicken bones
1 large onion
Other ingredients
13 wanton skin
100g minced chicken meat
2 stalks spring onion - shredded
1 tsp oyster sauce
1tsp ginger paste
1 tsp cornflour
110g mustard leaves - washed and broken into large pieces
Some coriander leaves
Salt and pepper for taste
Method
For broth
Simmer bones and onion with 1 liter of water to extract broth.
Strain and pour back into the pot
Season with salt and pepper.
Keep it simmering over very low heat.
For wanton
In a bowl, mix chicken,spring onion, oyster sauce, ginger, cornflour and salt.
Add 1/2 tsp of mixed chicken in the center of wanton skin
Dab/pat the corners of the skin with some water, after which bring all the corners together and press.
Gently drop wanton into stock..
Skim out any impurities if needed.
When wanton floats up, add mustard leaves and off the heat.
