Logenhaus Roast & Grill - Taipan, Subang Jaya

Like a permanent fixture in Taipan. Don't know, really, I can't tell you how long Logenhaus Roast & Grill has been in the food picture. Maybe, from many years back then? Most probably. What about us? Our first time in Logenhaus. Nice ambiance. Romantic lighting for dinner and aplenty admirable wall decorations. But, be prepared. The terrorism of kids. Kids who just can't sit quietly and tuck into their meal and the best part of it all, the parents. They can't be least bothered. Goodness me! There you are trying to have a quiet romantic dinner and? You must be jolted by screaming and shouting. Nonsense.

Anyway, after being seated, we got down to ordering. Steak definitely not for Indians like us who still pride ourselves as anti-beef, yet, there are aplenty other choices for each one of us on the menu. What did we order? Lab shank, half a dozen of baked oysters, baked potato and for drinks, Hoegaarden beer. Arriving within a couple of minutes was the basket of garlic bread and strange it is, isn't it, when you are hungry, anything is also tasty? Pretty much said it all why we quickly finished off the crispy crusty on the outside and garlic butter herbs lathered atop bread.
Hoegarden Beer. Like what? Sip, enjoy and if you call for more, get tipsy slowly and surely.
"Baked Potato" and "Baked Oysters". Baked potato. Sincerely appreciated. Potatoes especially the baked version is always a delight for us. This one too wasn't a failure. Soup cream atop and some spring onion potato made us happy. Baked oysters. Not a regret in ordering. Baked with herbs and a little sauce, and we tucking in after a squeeze of lemon juice and a dash of Tabasco sauce.

Lamb shank. At least fifties of wait until we had to check with the staff twice. Finally, the big portion of lamb shank on our table. Tender and easily ripped from the bone meat and generous soaking of thick sauce atop, alongside fried potato, and some vegetables. Over-cooked vegetables were quite a thing to digest, but lamb shank by itself, wondrous. Really worthiness.
Did we cry when we paid RM91.45? Hahahaha! Not really. What can expect for such a meal? You gotto to pay the price.
