Kin Ryu Tei Japanese Restaurant. Stumbled upon while driving around within this row of shoplot across Subang Jaya Medical Centre and while at deciding where our dinner should be. Deciding thereafter we should give a go to this Japanese Restaurant which I think been existing for the longest time, I have in fact noticed Kin Ryu Tei Japanese Restaurant due to me working in Subang Jaya. Into Kin Ryu Tei Japanese Restaurant and? Speak about how sometimes customers are treated as though they are invisible and until they have to call for service despite not even half the tables being occupied. 10 minutes of wait at least, and from the menu offering all those Japanese set meals and ala-carte dishes you won't be deprived in many other like a fast food concept Japanese restaurants, we opted for what we wanted. Hot green tea and beer arrived within the next five minutes and? Back to waiting. Did we have a choice?
While waiting for the mains, that too quite a testing food game to our patience, we nibbled into the two tiny servings of radish and I think fish in dark sauce. I helped myself to most of it since my half-half and the friend were not really keen. This so called starter/appetizer tasted quite alright.
Thereafter, all the three mains simultaneously popping up on our table. Sashimi Set (2 sets). White tuna, red tuna, salmon and three sushi rolls, miso soup, white rice, crab meat steamed custard, a little pickled Japanese cucumber and two slices of papaya. For a fact, wholesomeness as a hearty filling meal.
Taste-wise? As if all the raw fish varieties were taken out of the freezer and served immediately. Really cold. What? Is this how it is suppose be? Are you kidding me? What about the rest of the items in sashimi set? Just acceptable.
Tempura Set. Batter coated crispy fried assortments. Prawns and vegetables, and of course we need the light watery sauce for dipping. A pass overall. For the whole lot of tempura set which were paired with the same items as sashimi set.
Sishamo/Pregnant Fish. Not worth even being mentioned. Hard. We could hardly chew and swallow.

We still ate. Though, not till the extent of polishing off every bit. Just whichever we literally forced ourselves to eat out of hunger. Nevermind to the flip flops of food, calling for the bill. I think even if we would have walked out without paying RM135.00, it wouldn't have mattered or no one would have cared. Should we return to Kin Ryu Tei Japanese Restaurant again?
