Dressing For Special Occasions - In Our Fifties

Whatever you wish to say about age is definitely entirely up to you. Of course your opinion matters, I won't deny. For some people, maybe even for the most of us in our age group of fifties, we like to convince ourselves that age is nothing more except a number, whereas how we feel inside and within us matter more than anything else instead of accepting the fact that age has caught up on us. I other hand must tell you that age does make a difference in the way we carry ourselves. Carrying our self in return is about the whole lock, stock and barrel of our totality. The way we speak, our maturity, our actions, our opinion, each and every word we utter, how we socialise and we must include our dressing image as well. Nevertheless, as I have said earlier, to each our own. By all means, go ahead, dress as it pleases you, for me personally, dressing for my age is about how I want others to perceive me. Indeed, a relation and and co-relation of our age professionalism. Dressing for my age in return means by the time I am in my fifties, I have already embraced who I am and I know precisely what will look good on me. Shape and size I sincerely believe plays a vital role on the types of attires I will carry well (Staying Fit Through Your 50s), the other is dressing sense and sensibly without people concluding that I am someone who is trying so hard to look young for my age.

Dressing For Special Occasions without a doubt calls for prior careful consideration before we are out there in the eye of the public. Obviously, we need to plan and we need to get ready in regards to the occasion. Special occasions can be anything. Company function, wedding or whichever you basically feel requires dressing decorum, or call it dressing for special occasions. For me, the most importantly fact before anything else is cutting my coat according to my cloth (Smart Casual Wear For Ladies In Their Fifties & Casual Wear For Women In Their Fifties). In other words, should I spend or make do with whatever I already have in my closet. Of course, no one can stop you from spending as much as you wish, its your money by the way, so its your call, nothing to do with us. Go ahead, no harm done, but for an average woman like me, I must consider my budget. During the last special occasion, a family wedding without a doubt is a special occasion, especially if you are gonna be in the limelight, I, to tell you the truth, I took at least three weeks to get ready. What to wear ultimately was the main question, after literally ransacking my cupboard, I realise that I have been hoarding clothes as old as me. Therefore, (Sarong Fashion Statement & Saree Fashion Statement) looked like I had no choice. I had to spend.

For a start, for the first occasion before the wedding, “Nalangu”/blessing of the bride, a saree definitely would have been a save special occasion bet, but I opted for this within RM120.00 Punjabi Suit (material and for stitching) instead of walking Klang or Brickfields for "come one come all for all the free size” baggy-psychedelic ready-made suits. The other option could have been spending 300 hundred or more at the Indian boutiques which genuinely would have broke my budget.

Red and black suit paired along accessories from my collection, including the red shoes, how do I look?
For the following day wedding, I money cough out again for this (RM300.00 inclusive of saree and saree blouse, and blouse stitching and stitching saree as a ready made saree) and another RM80.00 for the matching chunky necklace and earring. Thank god for my brilliant idea of a ready made saree because trust me, waking up at 5.00am and getting ready for an early morning wedding is not anything great. Make up and hair bun by your truly, How do I look Part 2?

For the finale glamorous ballroom dinner on the same day, I think I went overboard by paying RM300.00 for this evening gown. Really, I did. If only I had the time to spare, perhaps I could have gone around looking for a more affordable outfit. Time indeed was a crisis, and time was the reason why I picked up this gown. Not a regret though. I think, I reckon it is a fit perfect on me? Accessories and the rest from my existing collection, neither did I pay for doing up my hair and make up. How do I look Part 3. .

All in all, I think I did fine in my own way for being own my fashion icon. Shouldn't I then be proud of myself? Me dressing within my budget for these three special occasions, more importantly, looking presentable for my fifties age?
