Having been launched sometime back, this mascara has already been reviewed by many other beauty blogger. For me, honestly, it was like a new discovery and a good bargain during the sales. I also badly needed a mascara because the few high-end mascaras I hardly used and I have been shyly hoarding for 6 months, eventually I threw away. In that regard, indeed a wise decision though I felt like I also threw away my hard earned money. For that matter, from now on, I rather buy reasonably priced mascaras.
A mascara by far I only use for special occasions and ever since I started working from home, while I still care for my skin, make-up and mascara I have totally forgotten. While it is still the bare look at home, I realised that I should put some effort to look presentable especially for beauty-fashion events (the real-real casual). All the more, what can be better than this revolutionary dual-ended mascara for 360 degree “All Around Lash Glam” to give all the attention to wake up my always tired eyes and for the instant bold defined look.
Applying the mascara is pretty straightforward as the instruction as well as the ingredients are listed on the packaging. Seriously, I won’t say ingredients are unimportant but trying to understand them is a different thing compared to the price. Now, to beautify the eyes, it is somewhat similar to other mascaras except this one comes with two brushes - the fluffy, twisted and spiral design bigger brush for sweeping against the upper lashes from the root to tip whereas the small thin brush for grabbing the tiny lower lashes.
Now, here’s my take on this mascara
The mascara glides easily and smoothly as the formula is wet and somewhat of a runny consistency. The bigger brush evenly spreads the upper lashes out with a single sweep without clumping or smudging. The long wearing formula does not transfer on the lids and doesn’t over-apply to reach a decent level of volume and length. The so black glossy formula really darkens and enhances your lashes for the false lash look with minimal separation and does not irritate the eyes. Its quick-drying formula builds volume easily on a single coat, for layering and to provide some curl to lashes. The micro brush on the other hand picks up just enough mascara to coat my scanty lower lashes for the full lash look and to get so close without creating a mess. If you have short upper lashes, this brush may be helpful for adequate coverage for the natural look.
All that said, this mascara does not lengthen the lashes, so I always curl my lashes prior and apply a base coat (organic longer lash & lash gel) to hold them and for the dramatic really visible look. You can also comb your lashes before applying the mascara. But really, I don’t see a point because with some practice, you should be able to wriggle the brush to avoid the lashes from sticking together. While both of the brushes are pretty decent, depending on the occasion, you can built the layers for a natural look or for a glitz and glam look.
Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Waterproof Mascara by far is effective and economical for framing up and pulling together my entire look. Easily available almost anywhere including online, now that I have tried this mascara, instead of buying it again, I probably will try other types of mascaras from their range but definitely only the best buys during sales. Phew! Sweat and drip perfecting this review, all's well that ends well!
