Elise & Emma - Handmade 100% Pure Essential Oils

How I wish life is picture-perfect as seen on social media. People! They sure paint the perfect pictures. They dine at high end restaurants, they travel the wide horizon, they dress glamorously, the branded gifts they received, family so loving, spouse the best spouse and sure, I can go on and on. I for once am not jealous neither envious. But just wondering? How do these people have it all or what then? Seriously, I can’t comprehend. My life? Life oh life! A roaster coaster and my plate forever full. Many things to balance at one go. I of course from the bottom of the heart am trying to find the balance the motivational gurus preach about. Not complaining. I shouldn’t. In some ways I am blessed. The one major blessing is working from home. Thanks to my soul imperfect mate. Basically I hated the rush to and fro in the jam and corporate politics not my game.

Having said that, the other side of working from home you won’t know until you are there – endless house work, being there for the half-half who works irregulars hours and during weekends, cooking to put a simple smile on his simple face with a simple meal, managing the home affairs when he is away and the most complicated, the “you, we and what now” never ending issues from both our families. Also, blogging and keeping up with the social media. Tiring the hours in front of the laptop and blogging means you are in the visual world. The visual world never sleeps and you have to make your presence prominently known. Otherwise people go like – who is nava-k? Never heard lah. Sounds like a typical Indian lady.

So you see. My life the most colorful life. The colors draining end of the day and day in day out. Sleeping I've been told should come easy when you are tired. In my case, the tired mind does not shut down. If I can sleep for at least 4 solid hours, a major breakthrough.  Sleep deprived you know one of the causes of health diminishing and tiredness. Skin care and make up I know there to care and camouflage but sleep sincerely appreciated.

Essential oils I have heard before but don’t think I have really explored. Perhaps once upon a time though vague is the memory. Indeed to test-try the three carefully and precisely formulated Elise and Emma essentials oils definitely a promising start for stress, sleep and happiness. Now, before I share my exciting experience, let’s keep our ears open to what Elise and Emma have to say.

Thank you for incorporating Elise & Emma products into your aromatherapy journey.
The use of essential oils has been around since biblical times. The term ‘aromatherapy’, was actually coined in 1937 by Renee Gattefosse, a chemist and perfumer.  He was also the first individual to write a book about the subject. Aromatherapy is the practice of using essential oils to influence ones physical and psychological concerns.

All our products are handmade and use 100% pure essential oils without the added fragrance compound, natural botanical ingredients, and natural and organic carrier oils. Ingredients are chosen based on the therapeutic properties and traditional uses of the essential oils.

Safety Precaution
  1. Keep essential oils out of the reach of children and pets.
  2. Do not use plant essential oils on babies or children.
  3. Always do a patch test to check for sensitivity or an allergic reaction before using an essential oil product on sensitive skin.
  4. Do not apply pure undiluted (neat) essential oils directly to the skin.
  5. Do not take essential oils internally, or place drops of essential oils in the ears, eyes, nose or mouth, or in any other body openings.
  6. Discontinue using any essential oil if skin irritation or sensitivity develops.
  7. The essential oils of cedarwood, clary-sage, basil, marjoram, clove, fennel, jasmine, juniper, lemon, myrrh, lemon verbena or rosemary should not be used during pregnancy.
  8. Essential oils such as myrrh, basil, fennel, lemon verbena and others can cause irritation on sensitive skin.
  9. Avoid using the photo-sensitizing citrus essential oils, such as bergamot, lemon, mandarin, orange, lemon verbena and others when exposed to sunlight.
  10. If you have sensitive skin or suffer from epilepsy, heart or kidney problems, or any other serious medical condition, do not use essential oils unless you have been advised that it is safe to do so by a physician or other responsible medical professional.
Please bear in mind that our products are in no way meant to replace any medications that are subscribed to you by your physician. Also, our products mentioned are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Three products I had in hand: The Secret – Roll On, Bliss and Sniffler - Curb It.

The Secret – Roll On (RM49.00)
A blend of Orange, Clove, Frankinese, Ginger, Myrrh and Patchouli to enhance the frequency of the magnetic energy field that surrounds us. This higher frequency creates what is called "the law of attraction," which refers to the things we attract to ourselves - attract people into your life, attract prosperity in any area you focus your attention on and elevating and opening bringing a balance to the emotions. Recommended for individuals seeking to boost their confidence and Individuals in sales and networking industry. To use, wear on wrists, behind ears, neck and feet. Wear as a perfume or cologne. Put it on your check-book or in your purse.
My Take
The scent is obvious. You can scent once you remove the twistable cap and secret touches the skin.  Imparting true enough the natural concoction of essential oils, for my nose, I sense the orange, clove and mild doze of ginger. Frankinese, Myrrh and Patchouli I have never whiffed, so refraining from saying about things you don’t know should be the logic. The scent lingers, of course can’t remain forever but a good hour or so. When whiffed, I feel happy internally, from the emotional point of view. The happiness alerts the mind, an alert mind certainly think better and the better in return signals the positively.  So my logic is that the concoction stimulates your thinking senses and when you think better, the drive towards positively is strengthen or stimulated. Personally for my experience, upon contact with my skin, secret drives the positively to write better instead of haggling for words and staring at the laptop.  I focus better because of the positively.
However the secret will not work instantly or immediately. The scent slowly releases the positively, at least let’s say two hours after you gently shake the bottle and apply. I sometimes apply three times a day and secret is still ¾ full in the simple-solid bottle you can stash in the bag and does not spill provided you cap it back tightly. The secret is not the fairy’s magical wand which will change you to become another person. You are still who you are and its subjective how positively is interpreted. Also, one important thing. You have to believe. Believe is not one of oils in secret. Believe is within you.  Believe, take a whiff and see what happens.
BLISS (RM69.00)
A gentle, fragrant blend of Tangerine, Ylang ylang, German Chamomile, Orange, and Patchouli essential oils. Bliss can help calm tensions, uplifts the spirit, promotes relaxation and purge the system of nervous emotions, increasing emotional wellness. Bliss has an uplifting scent that evokes positive emotions. Recommended for individuals seeking a boost to their mood or an uplifting start to the day and individuals who often find themselves in stressful situations or are easily stressed. To use, add 5-10 drops to your diffuser.
The diffuser I went around looking and the story is always like this. Want you want not necessarily will be available. Anyhow I was told that without the infuser live still goes on with cotton or tissue. Put a few drops of bliss on the cotton/tissue and leave near high ventilation area or attached to the air-con or fan to disperse the smell. I of course thought my idea will be brilliant. I wanted to put a few drops in water but was told won’t work well as bliss’s molecules won't be able to disperse around. So, cotton with bliss left in a small container near the bed.
My take
Unlike the secret which is light yellow to colorless in colour, bliss is orangey and the scent is stronger. The scent I just can’t describe. Again, except for the scent of orange, the rest of the oils never scented before. Bliss is blissful in the sense that it stimulates your senses and relaxes. On the first night, not only me but even my other half commented he slept like a baby. Subsequently for the next few nights I didn’t have to force sleep. Sleep came naturally. When tiredness is up to up neck, I take a long whiff of bliss directly from the bottle. Does work wonders because I doze of within a couple of minutes.
Sniffler – Curb It (RM29.00)
A blend of Cinnamon, Grapefruit, Ginger, Lemon and Peppermint if you think you need to eat less and have a good appetite. A regular dose can decrease your appetite and aid in weight management. Keeps your body’s entire metabolism in proper order.  Promotes the feeling of fullness after meals, reducing appetite and helps suppressing cravings. Recommended for individuals looking for natural aid for weight loss and maintenance. To use, inhale whenever you have food craving and also before and after every meal.
This sniffler ladies and gentlemen I don’t want to sniff. You know right how I eat like a bird, I am not a good eater, I find eating a big chore and my appetite, goodness gracious, I can go on and on without eating. Thus, if I inhale sniffler, you may not see me anymore. I would have vanished in thin air. Friends have been told to try sniffler and they seem interested. But sorry, at this point in time, no feedback yet.
Now, I can’t convince you unless you try and the good news - 5 winners will be the lucky winners. Each winner will receive two products, the secret and sniffler curb it. To win, here’s what you have to do -
Share with us how you unwind after a hard day’s work in less than 60 words. No worries. Be comfortable and be yourself. Honestly is the best policy and write what you like but of course, must be about unwinding or releasing stress.
