Skinfood Black Sugar Mask

Looks like I haven't change a bit when it comes to skin care products. I always get over-excitement at beauty stores. Given a choice, emptying the whole store is true happiness. Then again, no point hoarding skin care products because they have limited life expectancy and also, how many products can I possibly use simultaneously. Nevertheless, when I buy one product, there's always tendency to buy another from the same brand. I bought the rice mask and I'm sure you must have guessed it right, Yes! This black sugar mask included as well.

Black sugar mask created quite a buzzy-buzz after it was launched and has taken the spot as another best seller affordable product of Skinfood. Rice mask on the other hand is not new to me. I've used it a couple of year ago whereas this black sugar mask for the first time ever. Black mask containing mineral-enriched Brazilian black sugar is recommended as a once a week mask for glowing and supple skin. Product made, expiry date and ingredients clearly listed on the sturdy plastic bucket with a twist off lid but without a spatula.

Skinfood Black Sugar Mask is a thick mask and I love its refreshing sugary citrusy smell - truly loved for the sort of lemongrass scent as well. To use, scoop it with a clean finger or with a plastic spoon, spread a thin layer over your clean-damp skin and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Thereafter, thoroughly rinse it with lukewarm water and pat dry. Its definitely a  comfortable mask in the sense that you feel comfortable while applying and after applying, additionally it does not irritate your skin. Its grainy sugar granules may be harsh but not overly abrasive for effectively buffing and loosening black and white heads. However, after gently massaging and rinsing, I still have to extract the blackheads on my nose with a cotton pad. Its sticky formula does not dry up, though its advisable not to be applied on dry skin because the the granules can be discomforting when rubbed against the skin.

Skinfood Black Sugar Mask does a good job in maintaining my well-kept sensitive skin. It  brightens and leaves my skin soft and radiant without any tingling sensation and does not strip the natural oil away. However it does not hydrate neither moisture the skin. This mask containing natural ingredients can be used at 3 to 4 days internals for visible results. For me, just once a week and can last for another 3 months.
