Koru Hotel - Bolu (Turkey)

After visiting Ataturk Mausoleum (Anitkabir), we journeyed to Bolu, Koru Hotel for our overnight stay. Bolu by the way is located approximately half way between Istanbul and Ankara, indeed famous for its dense forests, fauna and modern hot spring facilities. Our overnight stay in Koru was mainly as a stopover prior to en-routing back to Istanbul. No sightseeing whatsoever, though I quite enjoyed the journey while on our way here. Looking at the snow filled area especially. By the time we arrived in Koru, sky has already turned dark at about 6.30pm. Night is definitely earlier during winter, we sat to the reception area while our tour guide sorted out our room. Nice, and clean area indeed, we then left our things in the room and returned to the dining area.
Practically empty, in fact, I think we were the only tour group. Blessings actually since we didn't have to push and rush for meals and that with less people using the wifi, oh-hailed, wifi flew at its super speed.

Dinner was akin prepared just for us. Buns, salad, grilled chicken accompanied alongside with potato salad and rice and for dessert, we were served chocolate cake. An average meal to fill up our hunger.

Thereafter, I returned to my room. Lovely. May have been just basic, but clean, comfortable and coming with it all the needed amenities.

Next morning we were back to the same dining area for breakfast. Unlike the previous night average dinner, breakfast definitely was better though limited choices of items. Still, you get cereals, eggs, a few Turkish dishes, hot beverages and fruit juices. After breakfast we came out of the hotel for the exciting snow moment. Good fun to perk up our morning in this stunning fairy tale like surrounding.

By 9.00am, we were on the road heading to Istanbul
