Koru Hotel - Bolu (Turkey)

After visiting Ataturk Mausoleum (Anitkabir), the night-night calling was at Koru Hotel at Bolu. Bolu located approximately half way between Istanbul and Ankara, indeed famous for its dense forests, fauna and modern hot spring facilities. Bolu just a night stop with dinner and breakfast the next day since it is the route before returning to Istanbul. So no sightseeing. When we arrived around 6.30pm, the sky was already pitched dark. In fact dark the darkness even along the way and nothing much to see except for snow and trees in darkness.

The hotel practically empty sort of a good thing because super speed the wifi connection. Of course we couldn't wait to use but before that, dinner

Dinner - buns, salad, grilled chicken with potato salad and rice and dessert, chocolate cake. This meal average in taste but we still ate out of hunger. The cake bad shape as though carried forward from last winter. Dry and yuks.

My room - lovely. Basic but clean comfortable and came with all of the needed amenities.

Next morning we were back to the same dining area for breakfast. Unlike the average dinner, breakfast definitely better though limited choices. Still you get cereals, eggs, a few Turkish dishes, hot beverages and fruit juices. After breakfast we came out of the hotel for the exciting snow moment. Good fun to perk up the morning in the stunning fairy tale like surrounding.

By 9.00am, we were on the road heading to Istanbul

  1. Really nice pictures! If I didn't read your post I'd be under the assumption that the taste of the food there was heavenly! But I suppose that isn't always so. At least you had fun in the snow.:)

  15. You looked like you were having plenty of fun in the snow :) The view looks great- nice, quiet and relaxing! Or maybe it's just because I've never seen snow in real life before :(
