Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleansing Oil

From  high end Shu Uemura cleansing oil and mid range Body Shop cleansing oil, my expectation drastically dropped since I have been spending quite a substantial amount on skin care products. I made a 360 degrees turn and bought this deep clean cleansing oil for around RM38.00. Obviously says it all, what else except dollar and cents. I now work from home and earn lesser compared to when I was in the education industry. Not at all a big crisis, actually a good thing to try affordable products.

Unlike the stylish packaging of Shu Uemura sublime cleansing oil, Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleansing Oil oil comes in a no frill simple transparent plastic bottle, well sealed in a plastic wrapper. The oil is then transformed into a soft and fine cleansing milk/emulsion to effectively removes dirt, impurities and make-up in one single step for superior deep clean feel. Formulated with botanical skincare complex, it helps lock moisture balance to leave skin soft and supple. Dermatologist tested, it is does not clog pores and can be used on waterproof make up.
While I was sceptical even after purchasing, I still went ahead and started using the oil. Surprisingly, it works just as well as other cleansing oils for my sensitive-combination skin. This light textured citrus-y oil is easily dispensed from the pump nozzle, its refreshing scent is according to my liking and it quickly and effectively removes make-up without excessive oil or drying to leave my skin healthy and clean. But sadly this oil didn't leave my skin soft and supple, not at all noticeable on my well maintained skin.  Furthermore, just like other cleansing oils I have previously used, this oil is somewhat strong as it breaks up my skin if  used twice a day.

Also, it doesn't thoroughly remove mascara and heavy eye make-up. Still, I will rave about Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleansing Oil, mainly because it didn't irritate my skin and certainly worth the price. Nevertheless, at this point, I have not decided if I will repurchase this decent cleansing oil again.

  1. I'm a lazy person, so cleansing oil is out for me. I'll head straight for the cleanser as it cuts down a step. I guess cleansing oil is perfect for those with make-up to ensure the face is thoroughly cleaned.
