Valentine's Day of course is a meaningful and significant day to profess and appreciate love. But over the years, with so much of hype, Valentine's Day basically has become commercialized. So, why bother with rushing and pushing to dine out or buying expensive gifts not to express love to each other but to load up the pictures to impress the social friends. We for once, maybe for the first two years ushered Valentine's Day with dinner but now, honestly, we rather have dinner at home or go on with our daily lives. After all, every now and then, we dine out and we buy each other things as and when needed. Thus, Valentine's Day this year is another normal day but still it must be celebrated with a sweet treat. That too, this cake I baked some time back and today is the perfect day to share this moist and soft chocolaty butter-less cake.
6 medium size bananas (keep one aside for topping)
3/4 cup carton milk
4 tbsp oil (no smell)
1/2 cup cocoa
1 2/3 cup all purpose flour
3/4 cup caster brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
A pinch of salt
Mash bananas and whisk with eggs, milk and oil.
Shift the rest of the dry ingredients on top.
Gently fold and tip into a greased baking pan.
Arrange a few slices of bananas on top (the one kept aside).
Bake at 175C for about an hour or until cooked.
