Lightful Marine-Bright Formula Cleanser, Lightful Marine-Bright Formula SPF30PA++ Moisturizer Hydratant and Mineral Charged Water Moisture Eye Cream). Why? Well, once a while, retail therapy makes me happy. I walked into Mac store, stood around looking at the products and gave a chance to the SA to convince me to buy this foundation. Mmm!! There I go again. Anyway no regrets, in fact I needed it as the Shu Uemura compact powder will run out soon.
An exclusive Asian product, MAC compact is a one-step powder and foundation that provides a smooth, flawless, all-matte and full-coverage finish. Long-wearing, the velvety texture allows skin to breathe and the powder is triple milled to allow skin to breathe. Sold separately with refill, the casing has three set compartments inside. One for the mirror, second for the powder and the third for the sponge, you can conveniently fit it in your handbag and is great for busy women on the go for touching up.
I have been using the powder over my moisturised face (Shu Uemura emulsion) for 4 months once a day now. The SPF coverage is minimal for the pretty strong Asian hot humid weather. So I still apply a sunblock under the powder and a concealer (Bobby Brown creamy concealer) under my eyes is a must to cover the dark circles. Giving a sheer layer of powder for an even tone and light to medium coverage for day to day, this lightweight powder glides with a velvety smooth finish and doesn’t make my skin look too matte or cakey. It also didn't irritate and didn't clog pores, most importantly didn't breakout my combination-sensitive skin.
However, the oil control is just so--so. I don’t touch up while at work and when I return home after 6 to 7 hours, my T-zone is oily. Though it is not a foundation, it is still a decent compact that didn't oxidize neither darken my skin. But, I doubt I will purchase again since it is really pricey compared to other compacts I know about.
