Shu Uemura Phyto -Black Lift Radiance Boosting Lotion

I've had a string of hiccups with moisturisers. The ones I've tried were either too rich they broke my skin with spots/pimples whereas the rest didn't provide enough moisture and benefits. Instead of throwing away, I rotated between the different types. Definitely troublesome for I had to remember which I applied when but eventually all products were used up.

My first decent well suited moisturiser was Shu Uemura Whitefficient Whitening Emulsion and when it finished off, I went back to the store to buy another. I was then told about the new Phyto-Lift Anti Aging Collection. It took the beauty consultant a while to convince me to switch to this lotion as I was unsure. My combination skin indeed is sensitive to new products. Regardless of that, I still purchased since all the previous Shu Uemura products (cleansing oilSkin Purifier Pore Clarifying Foaming Cleansing Water and Compact Powder) fared well.

This lotion is suitable for all skin types, is lightweight that activates skin cell turnover, gives a radiant glow.helps reverse the signs of aging and reduces fine line and wrinkles. The key ingredients are black tea ferment (firms, densifies and detoxifies the skin of impurities), black sugar complex (boost collagen production) and aha complex (derived from fruit acids to gently exfoliate skin cells).
I was also reminded that its a lotion and not a moisturiser. If possible, essence and moisturiser should be applied over it. However the beauty consultant assured that without the additional two products, the lotion is good enough for my skin. The lotion comes in a slim black hardly glass bottle. Solid, slightly heavy, well capped and the pump works well till today. Just a gentle pump to smoothly dispense the lotion on my palm. Thereafter gently applied and glides easily. I used the the lightweight lotion twice a day - in the morning after cleansing and at night. Similarly after cleansing and as a night cream as well.
The lotion seem good to hydrate and moisture. Most importantly it didn't break up my skin. Despite being in the sun for hours while I was travelling, my skin remained unoily. Having said that, the lotion didn't drastically turn around neither exfoliated my skin.
On the whole, its a lotion to maintain my skin without worrying about over applying. Shu Uemura products as you know are not cheap but I have to say that their products are worth the try especially if you have sensitive combination skin.
