Copenhagen (Denmark ) - Day 1 (Part 2)

Almost an hour at "The Little Mermaid" and then while on the way to to Gefion Fountain, I was akin a little girl all excited and wouldn't stop peeping out of the moving coach to glimpse at Atlas by Nicolai Outzen Schmidt (1844 - 1910), the buildings and the "Ditto Train".

Thereafter we arrived at Gefion fountain - located at Churchill Park, the biggest monument in Copenhagen and inaugurated in 1908 in celebration of Carlsberg Brewery's 50th birthday. The main figure of the fountain is the powerful Nordic goddess Gefion with her 4 oxen, within this area, you will also see the only Anglican church in Denmark going back to year 1887, dedicated to St. Alban, the first martyr of Great Britain and the huge nature compound.

An hour we were in this place before leaving for Amalienborg Palace.

To be continued in Part 3
