Phuket - Premium Outlet

From the Cashew Nut Factory and before heading to premium outlet, we stopped over at Wangtalang Lapidary gem factory. Basically, another marketing and sales thing, but I didn't mind sitting through the short documentary on how precious stones are harvested, processed and finally, these are some of the ones you will see in the showroom. Expensive, truly expensive the jewelries mounted with the stones or the stones by themselves, well, if you can afford, opt between the various types. For me, I walked around, I admired and I was the first person out of the factory for two reasons, first, photos are not allowed and second, I have never been interested in previous stones which definitely does not have carry any resale value.

Following this, we then arrived at Phuket premium outlet. Premium?? No, no, don't expect Gucci, Prada, LV or even Coach. It is the mid range brands, some I have never heard of.

Choices? For those who want to badly shop, you can pick up something. For me, not my game because I've been to better outlets (Franciacorta Outlet Village Milan) Price wise - I can't say either but I was later told by the friends the things are rather over-rated. To kill time, I bought a drink and sat at the bench for I think 1 1/2 hours before departing to Patong, the last stop for the day.

Unfortunately because it rained non-stop, we couldn't do anything much. Calling of the plan to dine to dine at the road side stalls, eventually we had dinner at the food court and off we returned to Super Star Libra Cruise before calling it a night. The next day, checking out from the ship from Penang was literally another rush and push prior to, thankfully, coming home in one piece.
