Western Australian Museum - Perth

Back from Fremantle Marketfriends decided to stay put at Ms Maud Hotel whereas another friend and I walked to Western Australian museum which is actually close by the train station and the hotel itself. As we entered the museum, we knew time was not on our side because within the next 40 minutes, at 5.00pm, the museum will be closing its doors. So, without wasting much time, we made sure we covered the entire museum.

Western Australian Museum is similar to any other museum (Maritime Shipwreck Galleries Fremantle), here it is mainly about Australian history and culture back then many-many years, diamonds to dinosaurs, collections of objects, stories about aboriginal people from past to present, Dampier Marine, mammal, bird and butterfly galleries. Also, inclusive of the discovery center featuring collections and research spread over 3 floors.

We managed to cover the whole museum while constantly reminded by the staff on the closing time, five minutes before 5pm, we were gently reminded to leave.

Up next:  Perth Zoo, Western Australia.
