In House Health Cuisine - Kota Kemuning (Shah Alam)

Started off as Ben's Cafe, then renamed as Lohas Lifestyle cafe, In House Health Cuisine has made a name at Kota Kemuning. Situated at the inner lane across the main road, it is hard to miss the signboard of this eatery known for their healthy dishes. Retaining the main facade while the menu has been ungraded to feature more dishes, we were here for a late lunch after 2pmThe hot lemongrass drink complementary from the house they still served and this drink was still good like before - warm, lemony aroma and with tad bit of sweetness.

Upon calling for the dishes, within 5 minutes or so, arrived the  herbal chicken soup accompanied with a bowl of brown rice and two slices of watermelon. For a spicy punch, I also requested for birds eye chillies and started tucking into the meal. The soup was indeed a generous portion even for one person and consisted of one big soft springy chicken with varieties of vegetables in an aromatic Chinese herbal broth. I have always been a fan of such nutritious soup, so I enjoyed every bit of it. The polished brown rice, well, quite flat and tasteless. Then again, such a healthy rice always taste like that.

As for the Dong Gui Fish Chop - a big piece of fish lathered with a herbal thick sauce, salad, corn, some veggies and bun. My half-half somehow found the sauce to be overwhelming and strong. Maybe because he has never tasted such a sauce with Chinese herbs. However, he commented that fish was fresh and this meal definitely for healthiness.
Finishing off our meal while sipping the hot Milo, we left but I know for sure returning with my half-half will be impossible whereas I won't mind another meal at In House for a health is wealth meal.
