For the spice bundle
1/2 tsp coriander seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp black pepper seeds
1 stick cinnamon
1 star anise
**Wrap and bundle these spices in a small piece of muslin cloth
2 potatoes - cubed into medium size pieces
1 carrot - cubed into medium size pieces
4 shallots - chopped
1 1/2 tbsp salted butter
2 sprigs garden or Chinese parsley
1/2 litre vegetable stock
Pepper and salt for taste
When butter is heated, sauté shallots.
Pour in stock,add bundles spice and vegetables.
Simmer till veggies are soft.
Season with pepper and salt.
Garnish with parsley before serving.
