Shu Uemura Whitefficient Whitening Emulsion

Moisturiser is another essential beauty sash every woman should invest in but finding one suited for our skin is tricky. A highly concentrated moisturiser may break up our skin whereas a mild moisturiser may not provide enough hydration for suppleness. For my sensitive-combination skin, it has been quite a journey. Various moisturisers I've tried and unfortunately, most of them actually broke up my skin. So, I am a little apprehensive when buying but I know I still need one at least to maintain my skin.

As the Shu Uemura products I have been using have been good to my skin (Shu Uemura Skin Purifier Pore Clarifying Foaming Cleansing Water and Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil), albeit paying more for this brand, at first I hesitated yet eventually I purchased this whitening emulsion.

Product Description
This emulsion cream is a whitening emulsion that enrobes the skin with intense moisture. The emulsion is formulated with a Mito-White Complex and whitening actives, to limit melanin production and transfer and help to boost the creation of the brighter newborn skin cells by improving the metabolism of epidermal cells and protecting the mitochondria (the energy of skin) against oxidative stress caused by UV for visibly luminous skin and less visible spots.

Fruit acid mix, adenosine, caffeine extract, prune extract, depsea water™, vitamin C derivative, ellagic acid and ceramide white™

Skin type: all skin types
To use: Apply to face & neck as the final skincare.
Size: 75ml/2.5oz
The emulsion is packaged in a solid slender glass bottle with a cover and a pump. To use, as usual with a pump, lightly press it to release the emulsion on your palm, dot on the face and spread evenly. For me, one pump of the light and non-sticky emulsion is sufficient and I quite like its faint musky floral scent. The emulsion absorbs quite fast with the right level of moisture to prep my skin to receive sunblock and compact powder in the morning and in the night, it is also my night cream. The emulsion doesn't cause any kind of discomfort neither caused my t-zone to be shiny or greasy because it didn't trigger more oil to be produced directly in my oil glands. So I don't blot my skin except when I am out in the sun.

Overall, I am quite pleased with this emulsion as it keeps my skin hydrated and supple. Most importantly, it does not break me up. However, it didn't lighten neither illuminate my skin and because I use it twice a day, most probably I need to purchase another one in 4 months time. Also, with its light weight formula, there is tendency to pump and apply more than enough though it will not have any adverse effect on your skin. To stay true with this emulsion I have to think twice mainly because it is quite pricey for my budget or the other option will be to scout for an affordable moisturiser from other brands.
