Chocolateria San Churro - James Street (Perth, Australia)

Pretty much we are now on our 3rd day in Perth, while walking back to Miss Maud Hoteafter dining, as suggested by friends, we had a comfort stop at this chocolate/dessert haven. Packed with customer in the inside and outside on the pavement dining area, lucky we were for the just vacated empty table outside. At once we sat, we had to before others would have grabbed it, menu arrived, we quickly decided. Two of our friends didn't mind standing in the long queue to order, later, they returned to our table, 15 minutes thereafter, believe me you, with the items each of us opted for.

The three types of chilled thick chocolate infused shakes (can't remember the names) friends gloriously strawed at one go brought a big broad smile on their faces. They loved it, whereas the other friend didn't speak highly about the cappuccino latte, but he sure said it latte was not a let down. Another friend and I on the other hand, struggled with the churros or Spanish doughnuts, teamed alongside dark chocolate sauce and white chocolate sauce. Light and fluffy, churros by itself were puffy and crispy, but after dunking in the overly rich sweet sauces, ohhh!! we both gave up. Maybe this overly sweet dessert will be a haven for chocolate lovers, but not for us. In fact, the balance was finished off by the rest of the friends.

I doubt I will return again to Chocolateria San Churro. Calorie loaded sweet stuff definitely is not to my taste.
