Shu Uemura Skin Purifier Pore Clarifying Foaming Cleansing Water

Rather than saying that washing my face twice a day is part of my routine, it will be more appropriate to use the word “Cleansing”. Washing actually comes after I cleanse my face. I use Shu Uemura cleaning oil in the night or before I have my shower in the evening.  The cleanser removes the traces of the moisturizer, sun block and powder off my skin which I apply when I am out. After cleansing, a little touch of eye cream and a generous application of night cream are needed for my skin.

While I have the choice of using the oil for my second round in the morning, I don't see a concrete reason to do so. There's not much of product build up on my skin that I need another round of thorough cleansing. Moreover the oil does not come cheap. To stretch the usage of the oil and for a mild wash in the morning,
I prefer the foaming cleansing water from the same brand. One pump of the watery or not too thick foam is enough to cleanse my whole face.  Just a gentle push downwards is enough.
And if you push harder, the extra foam pumped out is a waste. I did that initially but now am more careful. I am still on the first bottle I bought more than a year ago. Massage the foam all over your face and wash with  a good splash of water followed by the usual of wiping dry with a towel.

I am quite happy with the foam because it’s not too harsh on my skin, bringing on a supple fresh effect on my skin.  The foam also:

Tighten pores while clarifying & refining the skin.
Eliminates impurities and excess dead skin cells.
I have not paid attention to these effects, maybe it does but that’s not the reasons why I am continuing with the foam. The other plus point of this foam which is used as a selling point is the mildly floral scented fragrance. I have to agree on this because I can smell it on the days I wake up feeling vibrant with a good nights sleep. Whether I can smell the fragrance or not on other days, it does not make a difference. The foam is a must for my cleansing routine.

  1. Not too bad for a bottle to last that long. Thks for sharing your cleansing routine! The only product I have from Shu Uemura is their eye lash curler which is quite popular here.

  2. I will love to try out the foam. I do use the She Uemura cleansing oil from time to time...depending on my mood...and it certainly does a good job to remove the sunblock and BB cream.
