Liberty Central Hotel (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam)

Unlike my solo vacation to Bangkok, I joined a tour group via Reliance Travel to Vietnam and Cambodia. Since I was travelling alone, I paid extra charges for accommodation. I packed my bags and on the day of departure, the tour guide met me at the check-in counter in the airport. The rest is the usual of boarding and waiting to arrive at the destination. Another clearance at Ho Chi Minh City and we were driven in a coach to Liberty Central Hotel.

While we waited for our room allocations, the tour guide informed us that we are free to do what we like until 6pm. He suggested that we can walk to Ban Than market, 10 minutes from the hotel.

Some of the people in the tour could not help noticing me.  I got a couple of stares like wondering why this Indian lady is on her own. I was cool and calm with no expression on my face.  After all, I am quite used to such reaction. I was given my room card and made my entrance.  I took out my pouch with my skin care and toiletries and had a touch up.  I started taking as many shots of the room.

This 4 star hotel stood out for its clean and neat ambiance.  The deco was simple yet captivating.  All of the other basic amenities were available.

For me the most important in a hotel room is the cleanliness and wiki connection, both which I was pleased about.

I was in room with two single beds.  I was tempted to join both the beds together but for the time being I was more interested in checking out the market nearby. Within 15 minutes I left the room
and with my camera in hand, I walked out of the hotel towards the direction of the market. Our next post will feature the Ban Than market, a shopping paradise where you can find almost anything.
