I almost slept through on my last day in Philea. I was not bothered about the buffet breakfast, included as part of my stay. After all I had plans to go to Malacca city and try out other eateries. The couple I was with were getting restless and they sure got louder and louder talking to each other. The noise was irritating, forcing me to wake up. A quick shower and when I walked into the area where buffet was served, there was not much food left. I looked at my watch and understood that I was late because the buffet would be over in 20 mins time. Maybe thats why the staff were not re-filling any more food on the the empty containers and trays.
The remaining food was cakes, bread, pastries, fruits, cold cuts, salads and cereals. My mind went blank in deciding which to choose. I browsed through with a plate in hand before deciding which ones to pick.
Than I saw a corner where our popular nasi lemak was with the condiments of sambal fish, chicken rendang, boiled eggs and bit and pieces of others.
My breakfast is not complete with a cup of coffee or two As we tucked into our food, we made plans to roam around Malacca city and maybe a late lunch before heading back to Philea later in the evening. Stay tune for the interesting historical places we went to in the city.
