El Toro Butchery & Grill - Subang Avenue (Subang Jaya)

I like lunching with close friends because it's a pleasurable way of keeping in touch while having a meal together. Just like me, they value friendship. And so lunch comes in a package with transport and nice restaurants, somewhere nearby so that we have more time to talk rather than on the road. We agreed on the day and time and arrived way earlier before the restaurant was ready to welcome customers - really didn't matter.

Meanwhile we had a drink in Old Town Coffee and spoke about the latest developments in our lives. Within 20 minutes, the shutters of El Toro went up and we went in. At first I was a little apprehensive because I wasn't sure if there's other choices besides steaks.

I don't eat beef neither was my lunch companion eager. No matter how much I coaxed, she didn't order steaks. Basically I was keen to find out about the fabulosity of a steak meal in this steak house. She however went ahead - ordered the Pan Fried Salmon in Teriyaki Sauce and I was glad that I had options. I ordered the lamb chops.

Drinks came over and we happily sipped the peach tea, obviously fruity and lovely.

Within 10 minutes, our food arrived and what else was there to do except to tuck in.
I pinched a small piece of the salmon and we agreed that it was grilled with care for the brown crusty layer with lean flaky meat. The mashed potatoes with brown rosemary sauce and crispy salad with lotsa of cheese were equally yummy. I smiled and told her "you made the right decision".

My platter of lamb chops was also paired with the same.
I am not over-exaggerating because the chops were succulent with an even distribution of fats. My lunch companion couldn't agree more - another splendid dish as the salmon platter. We took our time, daintily ate and cleared the whole lock stock and barrel. Dessert was strawberry panna cotta topped with whipped cream - indeed a smooth operator because it was a clever pairing.
We were utmost satisfied and I thanked my lunch companion for bringing me over to this place. Not only that, she quickly paid RM96.10.  No matter how I persuaded, she insisted that it's her treat. As we walked back to our car, I told her to be on stand-by for the next lunch with my money.
