I crossed over the street and walked towards the beach. The street as well as the beach was like a mad house. The entire place was packed with people while cars and buses were zooming through the street. I somehow managed to maneuver my way among the rest to get a close glimpse of the beach.
A lot of people were sitting around, enjoying chilled drinks and munching on titbits sold by the traders. I also noticed some foreigners having a great time drinking beer and alcohol. Kids were playing while being watched by their parents.
The beach was a hive of activity with parasails, banana boats and jet skis fizzing across the water.
After standing for a while on the beach, I could not take the heat from the burning sun and walked back to the shaded area. I found an empty lazy chair and set down to enjoy the scenery of the beach.
One of the traders walked up to me and asked me for my choice of drink.
I told him that I don't need any and he replied that since I am not interested in having a drink, I have to pay 10Baht to sit at this area. I was shocked and was lost for words over what he said. After giving him a blank look, I got up and walked towards the street.
Finally, I crossed over and when back into Central Food Mall to meet my bestie who was done with her grocery shopping and was waiting for me. It was already late evening and we decided that it was time to head back to Amata Spring Golf Club. On our way, we stopped by at the street stalls to pack food for our dinner. Look out for next posting with regards to street food we bought.
