Heliocare Advanced SPF50 Gel

I fear the effects of the sun on my skin, the discoloration, wrinkles, premature aging etc etc, especially when exposed to the sun for long periods of time. I have had a bad experience, all because I forgot to apply sunblock on my face and the consequences were disastrous. My face skin was badly damaged with large patches of discoloration and dark spots. Being conscious of my looks, I had to spent money by seeking the assistance of a skin doctor. I don't want to repeat the mistake again thus sunblock has become the most important item in my skincare ritual.

I have tried, tested and used different brands and products of sunblock, not overly satisfied with a few and with the rest, nope.  I continued my quest for a sunblock and discovered Heliocare gel one year ago.

The beige creamy gel is easy to apply and does not leave any white cast on my skin.  I like the texture of the gel, gliding smoothly on my skin and require no blending post application for a full coverage of my skin. The finish is dewy and natural; in fact it gives a bit of glow. The oil free gel offers extreme protection against sunlight and is suited for my combination skin. Without doubt, this gel is my all time favorite sunblock and a must when I travel, doing outdoor sightseeing.
This review is based on my own experience of using the product and I was not paid to do so.  Heliocare products are only available from authorized clinics and trained medical practitioners. If you in search of a clinic in Selangor, do try Christina Chea Clinic in Taipan, my doctor who recommended the gel and other clinical products.  My next review will be on Heliocare's oral capsules, another product and another must have from the same range for my travel venture.

  2. I'm using SPF 50 by Avene. An aesthetic doc recommended it to me & I kinda like it. It's interesting to see the product in gel form; will like to try it.

Nava, thks so much for the guest post invitation! Will confirm as soon as I can as I'm currently tied-up with reviews. Would really love to collaborate with you :)

  3. King - combination skin can be like oil and dry at certain parts of the skin.

  4. I am also overprotective of my skin, and have the dermatologist bills to prove it. Since my skin is sensitive to boot, I swear by LaRoche-Posay Anthelios SPF 50.

  6. I agree with you about the importance of sun screen! I abused my skin when I was younger...this lily white complexion should have seen much less sun!
