Cheng Ho Cultural Museum - Malacca (Malaysia)

Another few more hours in Malacca before returning home, our day started with the buffet breakfast in Philea resort (Part 1 & Part 2) where we stayed for two nights. We actually woke up quite late and by the time we walked to the dining area after 9am, the rest of the guests have polished up most of the food. Left behind just a few local dishes, pastries, fruits and hot and cold drinks, disappointing it was but we didn't have a choice.

While tucking into the meal, we agreed to another trip to Malacca town. So, we took a cab and arrived at Jalan Hang Jebat mainly to kill time and just then, we were in front of Cheng Ho Cultural Museum. I went in whereas the couple were not keen. I paid RM10.00 for entrance, sat through a 15 minutes documentary about Ming dynasty Cheng Ho and then free and easy, I mean at you own pace to the different sections to read , see the artifacts/exhibits and as much time as you like in the museum - the only one outside China, dedicated to the famous admiral.

After around 45 minutes here, I came out through the back entrance - a narrow lovely rainforest like walk path. And this museum you should visit if you are keen to know about the voyages of Cheng Ho, the historical prominence, cultural appeal, maritime trading and life throughout the early years in Malacca.
