Vanilla Almond Jelly With Fruits

This almond jelly with fruits is a delightful and refreshing dessert. Not all that complicated to make. First make the jelly and let it set. Before serving, top up with fresh or canned fruits - any which you prefer.

Ingredients
25g (1/4 packet) agar-agar/gelatin stripes -soaked in water for about 1/2 hour and drain
30g almond powder
2 cups carton milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
Sugar as needed

To serve with
Fresh or canned fruits ( I used fresh kiwi fruit slices and canned peaches)

Method
Simmer agar-agar  in 1 1/2 cup water of water until dissolved.
Drain and pour back in the pot.
Add almond powder, vanilla essence and sugar.
Very quickly whisk all together for a smooth consistency.
Pour into a medium size flat plan.
Cool down and let it set in the fridge.
Once chilled, cut the jelly into squares and add fruits. .

  1. I like your jelly squares with fruits. Nava, I used agar agar granules in one of my cheese cake but it did not give it a nice body.
I see that for 2 cups of milk you used 25 gm now I have found my mistake I only used 1/4 of it.
    Will try again.

  2. Lovely fruit dessert. Ice cold fruit with these flavorful jelly cubes is something I have never seen and I am sure I would enjoy this. It is not something that they make here in the US. The jelly cubes we have are just fruit flavored.
I think it is pretty interesting that there are a lot more essence or flavors on the market that are more natural and less chemical than the ones that have been so prominent for the last 5 years. Also, this is a game changer since it will end up sitting right beside those others at the grocers. I know what one I would choose-what informed person wouldn't?

  6. Stevia plant is quite remarkable. I think pepsi/coke is using it for some of the drinks.
