Lake Como - Milan (Italy)

The following morning after a day at Verona, we arrived at Lake Como - located approximately 31 miles from Milan and between the Provinces of Como and Lecco. Lake Como is the third-largest, the most popular and the deepest lake in Italy, shaped like an inverted Y giving it a long perimeter. Surrounded by mountains, hills and dotted with beautiful villas and resort villages, there's also hiking paths, boat trips and water activities. This lake is better known as a top romantic travel destination and a great spot for photography because it offers the beautiful views of the Alps. Having all the charm of Italy along with the elegance as a location so close to the Swiss border, its atmosphere and natural surroundings have been the inspiration for an important part of the creation of Naboo, in the Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clone.

For us, it was merely a stopover to admire the lake, the surrounding area, taking pictures and within 1/2 an hour, bye-bye to Lake Como before heading to Lake Lugano.
