Its like a standard ritual for me to buy chocolates when I arrive at the airport after a long holiday. Personally I feel that chocolates are much appreciated compared to those tiny winy souvenirs I used to buy for my family and friends. After giving away most of mars bars I brought from my previous trip, I kept some for us. But the bars remained in my fridge for as long as I can remember until it came to a point that I had to do something. Well, the only thing that came to my mind was to bake a cake - one which is about mixing the ingredients and baking, simple as that. This dense pound cake with oozy chocolates was tasted by my friends and they loved it.
3 eggs - lightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
125g butter (melted)
1 1/2 cup cake flour
1 tsp baking soda
4 (15g) Mars bars
Incorporate (mix) eggs, milk, sugar, butter and baking soda.
Fold in the flour bit by bit and add the mixture into a greased 6 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch loaf baking pan.
Break the Mars bars and push half way through into the mixture. .
Bake at 175c for 40 mins or until the cake is done.
Remove, cool down and cut into shapes preferred.
