Tofu In Chilli Soy Sauce

As we all know, tofu is packed with lots of nutrients and is low in calorie count. It has also become a staple in Asian cooking, converted to various types of dishes. Tofu by itself is rather bland but when cooked with other ingredients, you can produce a delicious simple dish like this one -  steamed and splashed over with a chilli and oyster-soy based thick sauce.

2 pieces white firm tofu
1 red chilli - sliced thinly
1 green chilli - sliced thinly
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
2 tbsp  olive oil
Spring onions for garnishing - sliced

Steam tofu, just for 2 or 3 minutes to soften.
Drizzle oyster sauce, soy sauce and olive oil all over
Sprinkle chillies and spring onions on top.
