Restaurant Black Canyon Coffee - Summit (USJ Subang Jaya)

Back to Summit, back for movie time (Garden Cafe) and again, where to dine another confusion. Finally, our first time at Black Canyon. Offering vast choices of food and drinks, we were practically reading the menu over and over until the foreign waiter decided to leave us alone. Considering that we still had ample time in hand and lunch was just two hours ago, we weren't even sure if we should tuck into a meal or a drink will do. Then the logic kicked in. Perhaps noodles will be substantial better instead of packing the tummy with rice dishes. Thus, we settled for "Fusilli Chicken Tom Yam Soup" and "Seafood Fried Noodles". Drinks, the "Phuket Paradise" and "Ice Lemon Tea"

Fusilli tom yam - the type of pasta noodles, chicken, mushrooms, chunks of galangal and big slices of lemongrass drowned in a thick spicy pungent soup. The soup according to my liking but the burning spiciness I felt all over my lips and down my throat. Nice? Oh yes but with that overwhelming spiciness, I almost cried. Also, it was a search and rescue trying to scoop the chicken because there was just so little and I couldn't understand what's with so much of galangal which defeated the purpose. This dish way too much for a small eater like me and too much of unwanted ingredients.

The Phuket Paradise, a slushed up concoction of coconut milk, yoghurt and a tinge of pineapple juice, the saviour to thoroughly cool me down after slurping the tom yam broth.
The fried noodles - egg noodles fried up with an assortment of veggies and seafood and drenched in a thick gravy. Half-half quite liked the taste and commented that the gravy should be praised. He certainly finished up while I was sort of regretted why I didn't call for the same dish.
The ice-lemon tea??? Indeed, tea with lemon and filled up with ice, suitable for thirst quenching.
After paying RM35.10 and as walked towards the outlets in the shopping mall, we agreed it was a discovery that Black Canyon actually is the place for Thai cuisine.
