How to get the perfect eyeliner flick - cheat

Claire Coleman shares: For years I have attempted to perfect that fabulous Sixties flicky eyeliner thing.

This season, the crisp flick is once more being heralded as a make-up trend, and this time, I’ll actually be sporting it, thanks to Dior. Its latest cosmetic invention, Velvet Eyes, is a set of repositionable, adhesive eyeliner patches — essentially, stick-on flicks.
The limited-edition patches come in four designs, ranging from a simple matte black curve to an uber-glam version studded with Swarovski crystals. They will be available at Selfridges nationwide and Brown Thomas in Ireland.

The price? £47 for a set of four. They are beautiful. And, of course, if you’re feeling impoverished, you could always get busy with a sharp pair of scissors and some self-adhesive fabric...

  1. I always struggle with my eyeliner and these sound like something that would help me. To be honest, I always fantasized about sticking my eyeliner on my eyelid like this without any effort :D

  2. Very cool! I'd be more likely to buy these for a costume party than my typical social outings...but I'd definitely try them~

  6. Hi, Nava! I answered your question on my site, but will post it here, too:

Nava, you could bake the brownie part weeks in advance. When well cooled, I'd wrap well in plastic wrap and foil, then freeze. Thaw in fridge a couple days before, and when thawed, make the ganache topping and glaze. For company, I'd do the topping only a day or two before and store covered in the fridge.

    Hope you try these :)
