Bean Sprouts And Salted Fish Stir-Fried

Generally, I said generally please, we Malaysians love our rice. Maybe I agree I shouldn't generalise, I sure am the biggest rice fan (Nasi Dagang/Trading Rice). Of course rolls in noodle dishes every now and then as well (Mee Rojak Vegetarian). Now, lets forget about other things because we can go on and on talking hell of a lot. Lets now speak about a side dish for rice (Prawn Fritters, Curry Leaves Valakkai Poriyal, Purple Cabbage Stir Fried, Lemongrass Chilli Potatoes & French Beans Stir Fried with Tofu And Squid). Endless varieties we sure can make, but as always, we don't want to get frustrated and angry because I know how it is in the hot and sweaty kitchen. Mind you, sweating and heat does get us all worked up.

So, followers of "cook with nava-k, keep it simple please. How about this bean sprouts and salted fish stir fried (Pumpkin And Salted Fish Curry)? Are you with me please? Thank you. Quickly stir fried over high heat to retain crunchiness, bean sprouts and salted fish stir fried is a no-nonsense like me (ahem!!) and if you like me again, this dish is just enough to be eaten with rice. Of course for the Indian husband, please make him a curry please (Cauliflower Coriander Curry). Otherwise, hair will be ruffled up. Take care lovelies. We shall meet again soon yea.

Ingredients
400g (about 12 packet) bean sprouts - cleaned
30g(one small flat piece) thread fin/kurau salt fish - soaked in water for 10 mins and cubed.
1 packet brown firm taufu - sliced
5 garlic - chopped
1 red chilli - remove seeds and sliced thinly
2 stalks spring onion - sliced into 1 inch length
3 tbsp oil
Salt for taste

Method:
In heated oil, fry salted fish till crunchy and crispy.
Remove and keep aside.
In the same oil, sauté garlic.
Add the rest of the ingredients except fried fish.
Quickly stir over high heat for a couple of minutes.
Combine in fried fish and dish out.
Don't forget to trend alongside "cook with nava-k" on every other social media please!!
