3 Ingenious Uses for Beer

BeautyRiot Diva spilled: Fun fact: 7 million liters of beer are consumed each year during Oktoberfest. That is a lot of beer. Now, you could be part of this stat or you could try a different approach.

Beer Hair Rinse
Washing your hair with beer once a week makes it super soft and shiny, and supposedly even promotes hair growth! Combine 1 ounce of water, 1 ounce of beer, 2 teaspoons of vinegar, and a few drops of your favorite essential oil (to make it smell less like beer and more like your regular shampoo). Rub the solution through your hair and rinse it out. Just make sure it's at room temperature; ice-cold beer on your head doesn't sound like much fun.
Beer Face Mask
Using beer in your skincare routine not only moisturizes your skin, but it also helps get rid of blackheads and zits over time. And who wouldn't want that? Combine 1 tablespoon of beer, 1 teaspoon of plain yogurt, 1 teaspoon of olive oil, and 1 egg white. Wet your face with warm water and apply the mask. Rinse off after 15 minutes for gorgeous, glowing skin.
Beer Body Bath
In ancient Egypt, women would sit in tubs filled with beer to freshen their skin and reduce the risk of skin conditions like eczema. The next time you take a bath, do as the Egyptians did—add a cup of your favorite brew to the water to get super soft skin ... and indulge without actually indulging. Ha!
