there were jeggings, now there are joggs. MTV Style has introduced us to the new denim hybrid, which
is sort of blowing our minds. Diesel calls joggs "a unique fusion of design and
groundbreaking new fabrics that combine the iconic style and durability of
denim, with the relaxed attitude and comfort of jogging pants." We'll just
call it like it is: they are denim sweatpants.
The women's styles
have a slight drop-crotch and elastic waistbands...and cost at least $195 on Diesel's website.
As diehard jegging
devotees (this writer is wearing a pair as we speak), we are hesitant to admit
the new denim mutt into the esteemed category of hybrids. Pajama Jeans did not
make the cut, nor did the quite terrifying JeanPants Underwear Short pants.
Jorts, however, are among our favorite denim hybrid of all time, as are jeggings.
But saggy-bottom
joggs? With a drop-crotch and an elastic waistband complete with a drawstring?
I'm sorry, Diesel, but that's just crossing the line.
