cumin rice, kampung fried rice, belacan fried rice and Chinese fried rice). Tomato rice is elevated with obviously tomato, then ginger, shallots and garam masala.
2 cups rice - wash and drain off excess water
2 (abt 230g) tomato - sliced thinly
6 shallots - sliced
1 inch ginger - sliced
1/4 tsp garam masala/all spice powder
3 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Water as needed
When oil is heated, saute the shallots, tomatoes and ginger.
Add in the rice, garam masala and salt.
Fry for another 3-4 mins and then tip rice mixture into rice cooker.
Pour water as needed (generally 3 cups for 2 cups of rice) and let it cook.
Once cooked, fluff up.
