The Pink Sage Diner & Pantry - Solaris Dutamas

After they moved from Jalan Dang Wangi to Solaris Dutamas, some friends and I decided to pay this quirky restaurant a visit. Its name meaning wild flower, the place serves Californian favourites such as burgers, pancakes and pasta. It also has a wide variety of breakfast items. The d├ęcor was modern with a bit of kitsch thrown in.

I settled for the Lamb and Spinach burger which arrived in about 15 mins. The dinner crowd was sparse even on a Saturday. Anyway it came with a generous serving of fries and a small bowl of salad. The burger itself was quite tall. The lamb patty was nicely done and topped with some spinach. I would have like it to have more mint sauce as it was rather dry. The fries were tad salty and the salad had a hint of wasabi.
A friend had its Barbequed Chicken Burger which he remarked that it was way too dry. There was hardly any sauce and the meat was hard and overcooked. He did say though the portion was quite good.
We hung out for a while more and I had a cappuccino. I was slightly disappointed that it didn't come with some coffee art, instead the powder was just sprinkled carelessly on top. The cappuccino was decent but nothing to shout about.
I then have a red apple juice and too my surprise it didn't come out of a carton box. It was freshly squeezed and came with a bit of the pulp and ice as well. I liked it very much.
The bill came up to about RM70 for the stuffs I mentioned. I feel it is a bit pricey judging by the taste of the food.
