She failed to win over Heidi Klum as a contestant on Germany's Next Top Model, but Hana Nitsche appears to be having the last laugh after securing a high-profile job as the face of PETA's latest campaign. The black-and-white poster shows the 25-year-old posing naked, with the tagline: 'Fur? I'd rather go naked!' She follows in the footsteps of Pamela Anderson, Alicia Silverstone and Eva Mendes in supporting the animal rights group.
Klum is a notable absence from the line-up of PETA ambassadors, though the company did approach the supermodel back in 2008 as part of a plea to stop stars wearing Armani after it used fur in a winter collection. Nitsche admitted that she found the Germany's Next Top Model host intimidating during filming of the show back in 2007.
'She was a bit intimidating,' the model told FOX411. 'It’s such a strange feeling to stand in front of a model who always been your idol, and now she is a judge and criticising you.' Though she has been modelling for four years now, she admitted that she still got nervous in front of the camera - particularly in the case of the PETA campaign. 'I get so nervous and shy, you would not even believe it’s the same girl from the pictures,' she admitted.
